Warehouse and logistics projects need a coordinated review of the building, roof equipment, electrical services and operating areas. A terminal or an earth pit selected in isolation does not establish protection for the full site.
Roof and external protection inputs
Provide the length, width, height and levels of each shed, roof material, rooftop solar layout, vents, water tanks and nearby structures. Mark loading canopies and exposed equipment. The protection method and component positions should follow the risk assessment and approved drawings.
Electrical services and bonding
Include incoming supply, transformers, DG/UPS systems, fire-alarm panels, CCTV, communications, dock controls and automated handling equipment. Review power and signal protection with bonding and earthing. Check exposed metallic services and conductor routes before finalising quantities.
Installation and operating constraints
- Agree access arrangements and work windows around loading operations.
- Coordinate roof penetrations and supports with the building owner.
- Protect accessible down-conductor routes from mechanical damage.
- Keep test joints and inspection points accessible.
- Record concealed work and maintain as-built drawings and test reports.
BOQ and quotation checklist
List air terminals, supports, conductors, bonds, test joints, earth termination and relevant SPDs separately. State supply, installation, testing, exclusions and handover requirements. Do not assume one universal terminal count or earth-resistance value.
